WHAT IS YOGA?
Yoga is an ancient practice, which seeks to restore
harmony and balance to the mind, body and spirit. Developed by the sages
of India 5,000 years ago, Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit word for union,
with your higher consciousness. Hatha is a very gentle form of Yoga. Hatha
uses postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), meditation (dharana),
and chanting (mantras) to achieve mental clarity and inner peace. Practicing
Yoga with consistency and devotion, revitalizes the seven energy centers
(chakras), and provides a wonderful balance of physical and spiritual
well-being.
